What should I expect at my custom make first appointment?

For custom makes allow 1 hour for your first appointment. It's important that Courtney spends sufficient time with you to clearly understand and confirm your design brief.  She encourages you to bring along photos, sketches, fabric swatches, embellishments or colour options; anything that helps you convey your ideas.

Courtney will support you to settle on a final design by adding her industry knowledge to your ideas. A full body measure will be conducted at your first appointment so be sure to wear comfortable clothing.

How far in advance should I book for a custom make?

Quality custom made garments can take many weeks to complete from the first initial consultation, settling on a design, sourcing fabrics and embellishments, pattern making, construction and fittings. For this reason Courtney encourages you to book 6 months in advance to avoid disappointment, although rush orders can be done for a small fee providing Courtney has the availability at the time.
